Prof. Christian Pleijel
Christian lives on a small island in the Baltic Sea, the size of Manhattan but with only 250 inhabitants, and works as Director at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm where he is responsible for leadership and change.
Since 2008 he is Vice President of ESIN, European Small Islands Federation
2015 he published a book called “How to Read an Island” followed by a Swedish version: “Hur man läser av en ö”. His motivation has been to show how people can be creative together, addressing real, actual challenges.
In 2018 he became Chairmen of the archipelago cooperation which gathers 50.000 islanders on 250 islands from 8 landscapes in 3 countries across the Baltic Sea
