
Prof. Dr. Jan Thorsten Gräsner
Jan-Thorsten Gräsner was born on August 10, 1971 in Kirchohsen and studied human medicine at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. His professional career began in 2001 as assistant physician at the Klinikum Dortmund. He received his doctorate in 2002 as Dr. med. med. After his acceptance as an anaesthesiologist in 2005. After transferring to the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein, in 2010 he was appointed Medical Director Emergency Medicine of the UKSH Campus Kiel, for Anaesthesiology and Surgical Intensive Care Medicine. In 2012, he completed his habilitation at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel and was Chief Medical Officer, UKSH Campus Kiel until 2015. Since 2015 he has been a lecturer and director of the newly founded Institute for Rescue and Emergency Medicine of the UKSH in Kiel.
