
Dr. Helmut Morsi
Dr. Helmut Morsi studied physics and received his doctorate in 1985. His career began as a researcher in various institutes of the Max Planck Society. In 1988 he started working at European level, collaborated with patent attorneys and participated in the European Torus Project Euratom. Since 1994, he has headed various research and transport funding programmes at the European Commission in Brussels. He implemented and managed the Marco Polo programme and became Vice-President. He led the MOVE-B1 “Trans-European Network” and “TENtec Innovation” in the field of transport infrastructure. In 2006 he initiated TENtec and since 2015 has been advisor to the Director of the European Mobility Network (DG MOVE-B), which includes the coordination of innovation. In 2017, he will be active in this role for the EU Commission in the areas of “Investment, Innovative and Sustainable Transport”.
